This man's lovely review of All Round To Mrs Brown's is the only one that really matters
RTE RTE
IT’S NO SECRET that Mrs. Brown’s Boys and its various spinoffs aren’t to everyone’s taste.
Despite it being the biggest sitcom in the UK and Ireland, it still manages to attract some not-so-nice comments every week.
Last night, the second episode of All Round To Mrs Brown’s aired and featured Agnes Brown chatting to the likes of Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. Willoughby showed off her Spanx. There was a sketch that hinged on everyone saying the word ‘penis’.
Not exactly highbrow stuff, sure, but sometimes people just want some silliness.
During last night’s episode, a Twitter user named David Talbot sent a tweet illustrating the importance of a little bit of silliness every now and again.
“I’m a 24/7 carer for my mother who has dementia,” he wrote. “I haven’t seen her cry with laughter so much in 30 years!!”
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
He tweeted at another user, “The show is a refreshing change from political or ‘clever’ comedy. It’s good old silliness and God bless it!”
The tweet was quickly picked up by the show’s cast and crew.
